In America, people use a baseball metaphor to describe sexual experiences. If you have sex, it's a home run and prerequisite sexual steps are merely base hits, doubles or triples.

However, the metaphor is limiting because there are only four bases. We should extend the metaphor by describing other important steps in the sexual process as visits to other parts of the baseball stadium like the bleachers, bullpen, pitchers mound, locker-room, dugout, other team's dugout, and hot-dog stand.

Not that I know how he distinguished NL from AL in the original diary, so it's clear I don't know what I'm talking about. :P I only watch the Mariners...

I actually knew that only the AL had designated hitters. But only because the Mariners have Edgar, and everybody loves Edgar, and everybody knows he's the DH.

but I think he was referring to the World Series this year where the roles were flipped, an NL team relying on the deep ball and an AL team playing small. I didn't know what he was talking about, really... I just guessed.
