I'm a big seafood fan so I went into a resteraunt and ordered a plate of mixed fried seafood. Several minutes later, the waitress laid a plate on the table that was more mixed than I had been expecting:

  • Some of the creatures I had eaten before but had no idea how to eat prepared this way (they had lots of body parts I'd not had to deal with in the past).
  • Some of the creatures I had seen before but had no idea that they were even edible.
  • At least one of the creatures, I had never seen before in my life.

I've decided that a plate is not a good place to become acquainted with a new sea creature.

You ate Cthulhu? Of course you weren't going to like you meal, don't you realize Cthulhu is millions of years old? His flesh has got to be tough and it's long since lost it's taste. Next time try some newly made Deep Ones instead. Their flesh is nice and tender if you get a young one and they have an odd, but nice, aftertaste of evil burning to them. I recommend you try them in a sushi recipe with a bit of wasabi.

Getting an education was a bit like a communicable sexual disease. It made you unsuitable for a lot of jobs and then you had the urge to pass it on.

That is why I only patronize restaurants that show pictures of the dishes on the menus.

When I was dinning in Arkham, MA, I made it a strict rule to never order anything from the menu entitled "The Dish That  Cannot Be Named".

The R'lyeh Special and Innsmouth Sampler are also both poor choices.

The Boiled Shoggoth was okay. Not appetizing to look at, though.
