Open Source Software and Free Software

Many people here are probably familiar the term, and even the concept of, “Open Source.”

Undoubtedly, less are familiar with “Free Software.” Free Software is the movement from which Open Source spawned. The Open Source Definition was a near verbatim copy of the Debian Free Software Guidelines.
