Delegating Work
Like the parent of any child who grows up, it's now time to wince, smile and do most difficult thing in any parents life: It's time to let go.
Major systems for delegation:
Rule by committee (i.e. The Apache Project)
Rule by consensus, voting, and compartmentalization (i.e. the Debian Project)
Rule by strong leader (i.e. Linux)
How you delegate is less important than the fact that you delegate at all.
Respect, both earning and giving it, will make or break your project.
