This talk aims to act as an introduction to both Free Software Management as a conept and to the Free Software Project Management HOWTO. If you're serious about starting a Free Software/Open Source project, you should read the HOWTO and also spend some time in with the links in the bibliography.
What my talk today will do:
Give an overview of what managing a free software project entails.
Highlight the differences between proprietary software project management and and management under the Free Software and Open Source model(s).
What my talk today won't do:
Cover everything in the HOWTO. Because the HOWTO includes a lot that can be classified as more common sensical, I'll be omitting a much of this. But it's still important!
