Yesterday, I heard a Plan 9 developer laugh when he hear someone said they were a Hurd developer. He thought that the Hurd was a marginal and trivial operating system.

I laughed harder.

Laugh at Hurd will ye! they are making leaps and bounds in their bid to supplant Linux - I mean according to kerneltrap they even support disk partitions greater than 2 GB now.
